Widows are frequently abandoned in our societies.

A husband and wife are analogous to two bicycle tyres. The situation will change if one is lost. The husband can survive in this difficult situation. A wife, on the other hand, cannot afford to be separated from her partner. There are currently over 258 million widows on the planet. And society abandons, ignores, and shuns these widows. This increases the pressure on them to live dignified lives.

A widow lady's life becomes more difficult if she does not marry if she has children. And, due to limited resources, she is forced to work in order to feed her children. Along with these, the role of society adds to the number of challenges she faces. Widows face a culture of rejection throughout the world, particularly in Asia. Even in some places, a widow's outside visit becomes significantly more difficult.

What causes widow abandonment?

If someone genuinely wants to help them but society's role prevents them from doing so. As a result, they avoid assisting widows. Some people wish to profit from a widow's compulsion. Some online dating sites receive a high volume of traffic from widows. This reflects the mentality of society. Despite their efforts, they wish to take advantage of the widow's situation. If the goal is to marry or support someone, this is the right thing to do. However, if the motivation is poor, this is a poor choice in general.

We must look after the widow and accept her as a human being. Make a welcoming work environment for her so she can support her children and herself while living a respectful life. It is our responsibility as a society to recognize and respect widows so that they can live with the dignity and rights that they deserve.
